Kristeens began carrying Consignment Jewelry over the last 3 years. It started out as a more lucrative way for our customers to sell expensive items and make more money than selling them outright.
Consigning jewelry takes time-it is not (usually) an overnight sale but with high demand designers-the pieces do move very rapidly. David Yurman, John Hardy, Judith Ripka, Tiffany's, etc., are a few examples. The more information you have on the piece-the better. We will price it very competitively for you and for our customers.
Kristeens has an extremely high standard that the prospective consigned piece has to meet before it can be accepted. Any white gold or platinum rings usually have to be newly polished and rhodium plated (a form of platinum) before they will be put out on display. The consignee is responsible for that charge regardless of whether the piece is sold or not. Most older style pieces that have not become "trendy" again are not accepted nor anything that shows wear and tear. Tennis style bracelets are consigned rarely because the links take so much abuse on a daily basis.
Kristeens is known throughout the Indy community as having a very eclectic variety of jewelry and this is another way to bring our customers these pieces.
